tftp access violation
Added by Wade Calcutt about 12 years ago
We've been using an OMAP-L138F SOM that has exhibited no problems until we re-flashed the section containing FPGA binary that loads at boot time (which we've done successfully multiple times.) Ever since we've updated that section of the flash we cannot load new FPGA code into the SOM using the standard FGPA programming procedure because we encounter a tftp access violation during the copy from the virtual machine to the SOM.
U-Boot > tftp 0xC0700000 192.168.86.182:/home/mitydsp/bb_test.bin
Using device
TFTP from server 192.168.86.182; our IP address is 192.168.86.74
Filename '/home/mitydsp/bb_test.bin'.
Load address: 0xc0700000
Loading: *
TFTP error: 'Access violation' (2)
Starting again
This seems tied to the particular SOM because the process works fine with other SOMs on the same industrial I/O board with the same virtual machine.
Any ideas on why this particular error is occurring? Is it possible that during the prior FPGA binary write to flash that some system settings were corrupted?
Thanks.

Wade,
I'm going to take a stab in the dark here on a suggestion to give you something to try. If you think you may have overwritten some important memory areas than it may be advised to reflash the board with the UBoot image that is provided in the MDK builds following the "Reprogramming a dead board" guide (http://support.criticallink.com/redmine/projects/arm9-platforms/wiki/Reprogramming_a_Dead_Board).
Hopefully that will net some good result.
