Touch Screen Calibration¶
Using "ts_calibrate" for touch screen devices it is possible to calibrate them. Note however that you may need to remove a previous calibration file that is found at /etc/pointercal and /pointercal in order for the new calibration information to be used. If the application is our Matrix browser demo you should delete the pointercal file from the FAT partition of the SD card /media/mmcblk0p1/pointercal.
The calibration application is located in /usr/bin/ts_calibrate and can be run by typing ts_calibrate from a Linux prompt. Once running it will instruct you touch 5 locations (corners and center) of the device and then saves that calibration information the /etc/pointercal file.
You may also need to copy the /etc/pointercal file that is created by ts_calibrate to /media/mmcblk0p1/ if you are running the Matrix GUI browser demo since it looks there for the file.
