New UBoot Image That Fixes Bootelf Hang When Running Starterware

Added by Bill Lichtinger almost 12 years ago

The attached UBoot image contains an update to the bootelf command that fixes the problem where bootelf hangs when launching some of the Starterware examples. Please use this image until the updated UBoot code is officially released which will be soon.

Instructions for updating the UBoot image on your board can be found on the UBoot Port Wiki: http://support.criticallink.com/redmine/projects/arm9-platforms/wiki/Das_U-Boot_Port

Was there an official release?
What / where is the latest/greatest?

Sorry for the delay.

The code to support the updated features was checked into our git server, but we have not changed our factory configuration image configuration. MDK releases take a snapshot of the latest-and-greatest git server and build up an image for your convenience, that is the only form of "official" binary releases for u-Boot (or the kernel, or any other software Critical Link touches) for the MityDSP-L138 family of SOMs. We only commit changes to the u-boot server after they have been locally tested and validated, so a "pull" from that server should be "safe" at any time between releases.

I would advise building the configuration of u-Boot that you need and adding it to your application programming procedure, as even if we do update our factory configuration images it may take months before the updated modules hit distribution. Besides, you may want other u-Boot features that may not be enabled by default.

We add upgrading u-boot to application programming instructions for customers that we support directly (and the need a u-boot update, most don't).
