Using CCS with Windows 7-64 or Windows 8 (32 or 64)? (Posted on behalf of a customer)

Added by Angela Newman over 11 years ago

Do you guys have any experience using CCS with Windows 7-64 or Windows 8 (either 32 or 64?

We tried an install on Win 8-64 and it installed but did not run. Haven't
had time to investigate more though.

Planning to do some PC purchases and want to make sure we have an OS that
will support it.

We have CCS 3.3 which says Win 2000/XP. Is there a newer version
that would support Win 7 or 8?

You should check with TI regarding the software that is supported for any version of CCS.

We have successfully used CCS 5 and CCS 3.3 on Windows 7 (32 or 64) and XP (32 or 64). We have not used Windows 8 here for development yet.

For windows 7, you need to install either as administrator. Our experience in the past has been to disable user access controls during installation on running CCS.
