What version of the kernel was the CentOS 7 laptop using? Was the evaluation board presenting an MMC interface to the laptop, or was it hiding it behind a USB interface?

Thank you for pointing out the error with the bsp-editor screen shot on the QSPI wiki page! That should only have BOOT_FROM_QSPI enabled when trying to boot from QSPI. I believe when both are enabled u-boot will try to look ... Daniel Vincelette
