DDR4 SODIMM Connector Information¶

The MitySOM-AM62, MitySOM-AM62A, and MitySOM-AM62P edge connector interface conforms to the JEDEC MO-310, "260 PIN DDR4 SODIMM, 0.50MM PITCH OUTLINE", with the exception of the module height, which is 38.10mm instead of the specified 30.00mm. In addition, there is one component on the back side of the SOM that can be as tall as 1.75mm. Further detail can be found by downloading the appropriate SOM STEP model from this page.

The intent of the design is to support use with any SODIMM DDR4 connector conforming to JEDEC SO-O18, "260 PIN DDR4 SODIMM SOCKET OUTLINE, 0.5MM PITCH" with a mounted SOM height of at least 3mm between carrier board top and the center of the SOM PCB.

The pin out of each of the MitySOM-AM62, MitySOM-AN62A, and MitySOM-AM62P cards is intended to be electrically compatible. This allows use of the same carrier card design for most scenarios. All of the power, ground, and peripheral pin assignments are the same between the SOMs, with the exception of the following two items:

• The AM62A does not provide Open LVDS Interface (OLDI) display outputs. The OLDI peripheral pins are no connects for this SOM.
• The AM62P replaces OLDI port pairs 4-7 and OLDI clock output 1 with a MIPI DSI 4 lane output and clock pair.
